Salvation is the act of God in a person's life whereby that person's sins are forgiven and the sin nature in the person is changed to be the nature, or life, of God. This act of God in the person comes about by the person exercising faith in the death, burial, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, for Him to be his Savior and Lord. The name, Jesus, literally means "God who is salvation". In Matthew 1:21, the angel told Joseph, "And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call His name JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins". We see then that salvation is not a doctrine, but it is rather the person, Jesus. When you confess the Lordship of Jesus and you believe in your heart that Jesus has been raised from the dead, the Spirit of Jesus, the Holy Ghost, comes to dwell in your spirit thereby making you a new creation in Christ Jesus where the old things of death are passed away out of your life and all things of your spirit are made new. Receive salvation right now and be made brand new. Amen.
